Thank you for joining us at CSC 2017!

We’d like to thank everyone who came to this year’s Construction SuperConference in Las Vegas! We hope you were informed, inspired, and discovered new ideas and solutions for your projects and facilities, while catching up and connecting with peers. “We’ve already received overwhelmingly positive feedback from attendees about the information they learned in the conference sessions and the number of new connections made with each other,” says Conference Director, Kevin Gaffney.

The 2017 conference marked the 32nd annual and kicked-off on Monday afternoon, December 4, with a new Women’s Leadership Workshop presented by Lendlease, Navigant, Eversheds Sutherland, and featuring Brooke Vuckovic.  Following a stellar track of education sessions, attendees enjoyed refreshments and networking time with sponsors at the opening reception in the Knowledge Exchange Expo. Thanks to sponsors Jones Walker and the Rhodes Group.

Presented by Cozen O’Connor, day two began with our welcome keynote featuring former White House Director of Economic Policy, Todd Buchholz and ended with the best cocktail reception to date. Sponsored by Peckar & Abramson, P.C., attendees enjoyed a lively night at the famous XS Night Club at the Encore.  In between there were outstanding sessions and networking opportunities as well as our Plenary Luncheon presented by Peckar & Abramson, P.C. and sponsored by David Pattillio and Associates.

We ended this year’s conference on Wednesday, December 6, with more outstanding sessions and our final luncheon featuring Ryan Abbott, Senior Vice President, Sundt Construction, Inc. who discussed the topic of “Capitalizing on the Millennial Generation in Your Firm.”

Many thanks also to all of the fantastic speakers and panelists and our presenting sponsors, Peckar & Abramson, P.C. and Cozen O’Connor; platinum sponsors, Lit Com Group and Reed Smith; silver sponsors, Hogan Lovells and Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr LLP; and our bronze sponsors, Duane Morris and Cokinos.

Construction SuperConference would not be possible without the speakers and panelists and the CSC Advisory Board who helps bring them all together. Check the conference website at constructionsuperconference.com for details coming soon on how you can submit your session ideas for our 2018 conference.

Remember the Basics: Good Faith and Fair Dealing

NEWARK, N.J. - I learned to think of a contract as basically a handshake, though I am in no way saying that detailed contracts are not needed. In that regard, I always think of Robert Frost, and how “Good fences make good neighbors.”
