Andrew “Drew” Brouwer, CCCA, PMP, MSME, is Director of Surety Consulting & Expert Services at Nicholson Professional Consulting, Inc., where he leads the firm’s West Coast operations. His practice covers surety claim consulting, construction delay analysis, cost-to-complete studies, and litigation expert services addressing schedule impacts, standard of care, and affirmative claims and counterclaims. Recent expert reports span multi-family electrical, concrete piles, window security, and construction delay matters.

Mr. Brouwer presents frequently on schedule development and analysis, affirmative claims, and damages calculation, with 10+ conference appearances and numerous private industry education events. He serves as Co-Chair of the 2026 Pearlman Conference.

Before joining Nicholson in 2025, Mr. Brouwer spent nearly 11 years at The Vertex Companies in Surety Consulting, advancing from Project Engineer to Managing Consultant, leading a team of four and consulting on 65+ surety claims, including portfolio losses on projects exceeding $100 million. His international experience includes two years on-site in Wiesbaden, Germany.

He holds an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from UC Irvine and a B.S. in Physics from UC Santa Barbara.
