CSC Planning Committee Set To Meet

The 2017 Construction SuperConference (CSC), to be held Dec. 4-6, 2017 in Las Vegas at the Encore at Wynn Hotel will dive into many legal construction practice areas. Now in its 33rd year, CSC is recognized as the preeminent construction conference developed for mid-to senior-level professionals who work in any of the legal and commercial construction markets.

“The Construction SuperConference Planning Committee, led by co-chairs Bob Peckar and Bruce Ficken will meet May 9, 2017, to select conference content,” says Kevin Gaffney, director, CSC.

“Selecting the best sessions from so many high-quality proposals is difficult,” says Gaffney, “however our planning committee is up to the task.” The conference will cover a wide variety of topics including, arbitration, contract management, dispute resolution, innovative litigation strategies, risk management and workforce, and labor issues just to name a few.

The upcoming proposal review focuses on the relevance and importance of the proposed topic, the quality of each proposal, the makeup of its proposed panel, as well as the appropriateness of the proposed session in the context of the overall conference content. The committee, which includes co-chairs, Bob Peckar and Bruce Ficken along with Kelly Heuer, Brian Perlberg, Joseph Portela, Thomas Giordano, and Steven Charney will look for balanced speaker panels that include a strong presence of industry practitioners, such as general counsel and industry executives. In the past, successful proposals typically propose three or four speakers, including the moderator.

Expect the full slate of conference session to be published by early June with registration scheduled to open in mid-July.
