Andrew L. Sargent is a Managing Director in Vertex’s Commercial Disputes and Investigations practice, specializing in complex construction disputes involving critical path method (CPM) scheduling delays and productivity impacts. He prepares claims and expert reports addressing schedule delays, productivity loss, disruption, and quantum/damages across a broad range of project types. Mr. Sargent has testified at trial and in arbitration, and advises clients in all dispute resolution forums.
A recognized authority on CPM scheduling and construction delay analysis, Mr. Sargent frequently presents at industry conferences and was named to Civil + Structural Engineer magazine’s Rising Stars list in 2019.
Mr. Sargent joined Vertex in 2012 with the firm’s Surety division, where he helped clients turn around distressed construction projects. That work shaped his approach to analyzing schedule delays and disruption-related inefficiencies. He holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering and an M.Eng. from Cornell University.
