Samuel D. Newton is regional counsel for Flatiron Dragados USA, Inc. where he provides project advice and counsel as well as litigation and claims management for the company’s projects including high-speed rail, bridges, tunnels, and marine work. Prior to joining Flatiron Dragados, Sam was in private practice in Oklahoma City where he represented owners, general contractors, and subcontractors in Oklahoma and Texas. He also served as assistant general counsel for the U.S. division of an international EPC company working on solar, T&D, and P3 projects. Sam graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Baylor University, has a master’s degree from TCU, and earned his juris doctor from the University of Oklahoma. He is licensed in Texas and Oklahoma.
