Todd Metz has practiced construction law for more than 30 years and has been consistently ranked in leading national industry publications for over two decades. He primarily represents general and specialty contractors in domestic and international arbitrations, boards of contract appeals, and state and federal courts. Mr. Metz has served as lead or co-lead counsel in numorous high-stakes construction disputes and has negotiated significant settlements on a wide range of public and private projects. He is widely relied upon as the primary strategist, focused on positioning matters for early, practical resolution while preserving leverage, and serves as first chair or co-first chair in litigation and arbitration. Mr. Metz was recently named Best Lawyers’ 2026 Washington, D.C. “Lawyer of the Year” and is a past Chair of the Virginia State Bar Construction and Public Contracts Section.
